Banner's endocrinology page lists care for adrenal problems, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), pituitary problems, thyroid and parathyroid disease, and metabolic diseases. Its Diabetes and Endocrine Institute includes an Endocrine Surgery Center and a Thyroid, Parathyroid and Adrenal Center, run from the hospital campus as part of the Banner – University Medicine Institutes.

Banner reports that U.S. News & World Report named the hospital a 2026–2027 Best Regional Hospital, No. 3 in Phoenix and No. 3 in Arizona (Banner Health). U.S. News says the hospital treats “a very high number of patients with diabetes and endocrine-related diagnoses” and rates it High Performing for Diabetes. The U.S. News web address still uses the hospital's former name, Banner Good Samaritan, so don't be thrown if you see it.

Mayo Clinic in Arizona (Scottsdale)

Mayo's endocrinology page lists its Arizona contact as Mayo Clinic Endocrinology, 13400 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ 85259, phone 800-446-2279. Mayo's Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism & Nutrition has locations in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota, and Mayo states that its Phoenix/Scottsdale campus is ranked among U.S. News Best Hospitals for diabetes and endocrinology.

Location labels can be confusing. Some Mayo endocrinologists list their location as Phoenix, as this example profile shows, while the endocrinology contact address above is in Scottsdale. We link the profile only to illustrate the labeling, not as a recommendation. Check the street address on your appointment confirmation.

Endocrine surgery at Mayo in Arizona is a separate division within surgical oncology and endocrine surgery. Mayo also runs a two-year endocrinology fellowship in Phoenix/Scottsdale, which accepted its first fellow in July 2022.
